More Money. Poorer Results. 13 Years of the Wrong Answers.

Jan Maino claims she has the answers on education.

But after 13 years on the East Jackson School Board, her record tells a different story.

East Jackson is spending more per student than it did a decade ago. Yet according to the district's own 2024 M-STEP results, the numbers are hard to ignore.

Math — Students Below Proficiency

GradeBelow Proficiency
3rd Grade89%
4th Grade100%
5th Grade92%
6th Grade91%

English/Reading — Students Below Proficiency

GradeBelow Proficiency
3rd Grade82%
4th Grade76%
5th Grade84%
6th Grade79%

These aren't somebody's political talking points. They're East Jackson's own reported test results.

Teachers deserve leadership that gives their hard work the best chance to succeed. Administrators deserve a Board that sets the right direction. And most importantly, East Jackson's kids deserve better results.

Jan Maino has been part of the district's leadership for 13 years and now serves as Board President.

In our view, Jan Maino's leadership has failed East Jackson's kids, teachers, and administrators.

She claims to be the answer for education.

But after 13 years, East Jackson's results show her answers haven't worked.

More money. Poorer results. 13 years of the wrong answers.
