Soft on Crime: Maino and Savit Side By Side
Jan Maino wants you to think she's a moderate who only cares about kitchen-table issues. Then she went door to door in Jackson with Eli Savit, the most radical prosecutor in Michigan.

The photos say it all. Maino is holding Savit's campaign cards. Savit, wearing his "I LIKE ELI" button, is holding hers. They're working the same doors and handing out each other's literature. This is a team.
And in her Progressive Turnout Project photo, what's hanging in the window behind her? An Eli Savit sign.

Who Is Eli Savit?
Savit is the Washtenaw County Prosecutor and the Democrats' pick for Attorney General — a win the party's progressive wing celebrated. Within weeks of taking office in 2021, he made it clear he would decide which laws to enforce. Part of the 46th District sits in Washtenaw County, so some of our neighbors already live under his rules.
The Crimes Eli Savit Won't Prosecute
- No cash bail. His office stopped asking judges to hold defendants on cash bail — the first county in Michigan to do it.
- Magic mushrooms. No charges for using, possessing, or selling small amounts of psilocybin and other psychedelics.
- Marijuana. No charges.
- Prostitution. Adults buying or selling sex get a pass.
- Buprenorphine. No charges for having the opioid drug without a prescription.
- Drugs found during traffic stops. If police stop someone for a minor violation, get permission to search, and find drugs, stolen property, or certain illegal weapons, Savit's office won't charge it.
Read that last one again. Police find stolen property, and the prosecutor shrugs.

Now He Wants Your Whole State
As Attorney General, Savit would be Michigan's top law enforcement officer. The man who decided Washtenaw County didn't need to enforce the law would have that power statewide. Jan Maino is walking door to door with him.

Jan Maino Owes Jackson Answers
Maino talks about costs, schools, and health care. On public safety, she's silent. So let's ask her:
- Do you support ending cash bail across Michigan?
- Should prostitution and psychedelic drugs go unprosecuted in Jackson County?
- If police find stolen property during a traffic stop, should the thief walk?
- Will you vote for Eli Savit for Attorney General?
If she won't answer, the photos already did.

Jackson Deserves Better
Jackson families want safe streets, police backed by the courts, and laws that mean what they say. Jan Maino has chosen Eli Savit and the far-left wing of her party.
On November 3, make your choice.
